This document describes the risks associated with using Arbweb Trading Platform (the "Service") and with trading cryptocurrency perpetual futures using arbitrage strategies. You must read this Risk Disclosure carefully before activating a subscription and starting trading operations.
By using the Service, you confirm that you understand the risks described herein and accept them voluntarily and knowingly.
Cryptocurrencies and related derivatives are highly volatile financial instruments. Prices can move sharply within seconds in response to news, large market participants, liquidations, and other factors.
When trading perpetual futures with leverage:
Arbweb automatically sends trading commands to exchanges based on the User's configuration. Algorithmic trading carries specific risks:
A delta-neutral arbitrage strategy relies on price divergence between two exchanges and aims to capture profit when the spread narrows. This approach has specific vulnerabilities:
Cross-exchange arbitrage is not a "risk-free" strategy, despite common perception.
Arbweb does not control exchanges and is not liable for their actions:
Like any software, the Service may contain bugs and be subject to technical failures: bugs in code, network issues between the Service and exchanges, inaccuracies in market data, failures of infrastructure providers, attacks on infrastructure. If a failure occurs, the bot may stop or behave unpredictably. The User must be able to intervene manually through the relevant exchange's interface.
Regulation of cryptocurrencies, derivatives, and algorithmic trading is actively evolving and differs substantially across countries. In some jurisdictions, trading cryptocurrency derivatives is prohibited or restricted. The User is solely responsible for determining the legality of using the Service in their jurisdiction.
Arbweb does not provide tax advice. Income from cryptocurrency trading is taxable in most jurisdictions. The User is responsible for maintaining records of operations, calculating and paying applicable taxes, and consulting a qualified tax advisor when needed.
Exchange API keys are critically sensitive material. Despite encryption on our side:
It is strongly recommended to issue keys with trading permission only, no withdrawal rights, and, where supported, restrict them by IP.
The User decides whether to use the Service and how to configure trading. Arbweb provides a tool, but all trading decisions — including the choice of pairs, volumes, leverage, spread range, and start/stop timing — are made by the User. All financial outcomes — profit or loss — belong to the User. Arbweb does not share in profits and does not compensate losses.
Arbweb does not guarantee profit, does not provide investment, legal, or tax advice, and does not make recommendations on specific trades. Any historical performance data, screenshots, or strategy examples are provided for illustrative purposes only and are not a promise of results.
